Though circumstances may not always be in your control diverting your mind from the situation is something that can help ease the situation for you and help you respond in a better way. Therefore, when ever feeling stressed out in a given situation that you can do nothing to control divert your mind away from the situation.

Though physical change of environment is regarded as the best, if that is not an option consider diverting your mind from the given situation by focusing on something else and preferably positive.
