1. Pay Attention
life can seem to pass us in a blur of frantic, meaningless activity. Through mindfulness practice we learn to pause-breathe and engage all of our senses in becoming aware of the present moment with curiosity and openness. We develop the freedom to choose what we will pay attention to.
2. Go For A Walk
Reconnect with the tranquillity and joy that comes from spending time in natural beauty. Weather walking in a city park or your garden.
3. Breathe Right
Breathe in and out through your nose, drawing your breath down into your belly with each inhale. This way of breathing activates the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system, which is the source of the relaxation response. Be mindful of breathing this way regularly and you will be on the path to inner peace!
4. Show Gratitude
Take a moment at the start and end of each day to name three things that you are grateful for. Gratitude grows contentedness and happiness, which we all desire
5. Be Generous
Do something kind and generous for someone else everyday. The deepens our sense of connection to the well-being of others, which contributes to our well-being and that of the planet as a whole.
